Psychotherapy & Counseling
As part of the Department of Psychiatry at San Francisco General Hospital, the Center provides culturally sensitive medical and mental health care for adults who have experienced traumatic events/injuries in their lives. Our staff, faculty, and trainees come from diverse ethnic and cultural groups. The Center works closely with primary care providers to ensure comprehensive quality care. All services provided are free.
Services Include:
- Clinical evaluations
- Individual therapy for victims and survivors of psychological, physical, and sexual trauma, and their families
- Crisis intervention
- Substance Abuse Counseling
- Support Groups/Group Therapy led by a therapist focusing on:
- Trauma
- Domestic Violence
- Sexual Assault
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Homicide Survivors
